Hello! I am Kyle David, a dedicated meteorologist, weather content producer, and forecaster with a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from Rutgers University and an ongoing Master’s degree in Communication at Johns Hopkins University. My diverse experiences range from on-campus weather productions with Rutgers WeatherWatcher to contributing to the innovative digital weather network FOX Weather, allowing me to work both in front of and behind the camera.
My passion for meteorology, ignited in childhood while watching The Weather Channel, has grown into a lifelong commitment to this field. I am inspired by esteemed meteorologists like Jim Cantore, Stephanie Abrahms, Mike Bettes, and Jen Carfagno, and I strive to share the same enthusiasm for weather with others.
In addition to meteorology, I am deeply involved in Boy Scouting, community volunteering, and coaching for the Special Olympics. Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at 16, along with multiple Eagle Palms, highlights my commitment to service and leadership. My Eagle Project, which involved significant improvements for a local animal shelter, exemplifies my dedication to meaningful initiatives.
While at Rutgers, I participated in the RU-tv WeatherWatchers program, transitioning from initial hesitance in public speaking to thriving on-air forecasts. My role in Rutgers’ live morning show, Wake Up Rutgers, and experience as a weather observer and production member at the Rutgers Gardens Weather Station further solidified my career aspirations in weather broadcasting.
I initiated weather updates on Facebook to keep my community informed, which evolved into dedicated pages, including a collaborative effort among university students during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am excited to continue sharing my passion for weather and communication as I advance in my career.
