WeatherWatcher Studio Prep

Cleaned up and beautified WeatherWatcher studio, created & printed promotional materials to hand out to visitors, made and placed signs across the campus to guide people to the studio, and gave tours of the WeatherWatcher studio and talked to the public about the WeatherWatcher program for the duration of Rutgers Day.

Eagle Scout Project

As part of obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts, a scout must complete a thorough volunteer service project for an organization. This involves crowdsourcing for funds for the project (and beneficiary), gathering materials and resources, and leading volunteers for the project. For my Eagle Scout Project, I did a complete beautification of the front of the Franklin Township Animal Shelter and installed a new sidewalk for visitors to safely walk from the parking lot to the building. The beautification involved creating new flower boxes, landscaping the front lawn, and replacing the damaged signs in the front (and also install a new sign on the side of the building. My fundraiser successfully raised over $1,000 for the project, with unused funds being donated to the shelter to provide for animal care.
